Alec Baldwin announces engagement

It was recently announced that Alec Baldwin is now engaged to girlfriend Hilaria Thomas, and the timing is just right, as the actor will be turning 54 this Tuesday, according to Us Weekly.

"Yes, it's true!" Baldwin's rep told the news source. "Alec proposed to Hilaria this weekend and we're all excited for the newly engaged couple. Alec's birthday is tomorrow. Great way to celebrate!"

Baldwin gave the 28-year-old yoga instructor an engagement ring after dating for less than a year. However, he alluded to the seriousness of the relationship when they went public in September. The two have been living together since August, the media outlet reports.

According to the New York Daily News, this will be the first marriage for Thomas and the second for Baldwin, who went through a bitter divorce in 2002 with actress Kim Basinger after nine years of marriage.
