Celebrities head to the beaches now that winter is here

The holiday season makes a number of celebrities flock to various islands or southern destinations to get their tan during the winter months. Many stars are lounging by pools or beaches, decked out in their best bikinis, and they don't leave their fashion jewelry inside.

Mischa Barton was recently spotted outside of a Miami pool. Her stylish black bathing suit was paired with a black and gray over-sized, thin sweater, white tennis shoes with matching over-sized sun glasses. She wore a simple bracelet and a sterling silver necklace that held a huge heart to complete her ensemble.

Kimora Lee Simmons took a trip to St. Barts with her husband, Djimon Hounsou, and their children this past Sunday. Simmons donned a polka-dot bikini with big hoop earrings and a few bracelets as she played in the sand with her family.

So, if you have the opportunity to have some fun in the sun this winter, don't forget your stylish jewels, as just a plain bathing suit simply isn't enough.
