Britney Spears shows off engagement ring

Third time just may be the charm for pop star Britney Spears, who announced her engagement to former manager and longtime boyfriend Jason Trawick this past Friday.

According to Access Hollywood, Trawick got on one knee in front of Spears and her two children from another marriage - 6-year-old Sean Preston and 5-year-old Jayden James - on Thursday evening. The newly engaged couple celebrated their news in Las Vegas, where Spears wore a nude Herve Leger dress and showed off her new engagement ring.

The ring, which was designed by Neil Lane, is a 3-carat sparkler that resembles a princess' crown, which is how Trawick sees her, People Magazine reports. Spears turned to Twitter to express her excitement.

"Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life," Spears, 30, tweeted after the bash in Vegas. "Such an amazing time with my new fiance and our closest friends and family."

Spears has been married twice before - once to childhood friend Jason Alexander, which was quickly annulled, and also to then back-up dancer Kevin Federline, who fathered Sean and Jayden.
