Catherine Zeta-Jones matches accessories to Michael Douglas' tie

Red was the accent color for both Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband Michael Douglas when they attended the 80th birthday celebration of film producer Marty Richards at the New York's Rubin Museum of Art this past Tuesday.

The 42-year-old actress donned a black bandage dress with matching black earrings and of course, her engagement ring. She paired it with a red clutch and shoes, which matched Douglas' tie. The 67-year-old actor looked quite good himself in a navy tuxedo and white shirt. The couple has been married since 2000.

The couple has undergone some tough times in recent years, as Douglas was diagnosed with the late stages of throat cancer in August 2010. After several chemotherapy treatments, the actor was given the "all clear" in January of last year.

"I feel good. I feel relieved," Douglas told NBC Today host Matt Lauer at the time. "The tumor is gone [and] the odds are with the tumor gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer, that I've got it beat."
