Emily Maynard to be the next Bachelorette

Emily Maynard has already had an engagement ring on her left finger when she was proposed to by Brad Womack on the last season of The Bachelor in March 2011. However, that relationship fell apart, and it was recently announced that the North Carolina single mom will be looking for love again on the next season of The Bachelorette.

The 25-year-old signed on to the show's eighth season, which will start filming in March. Maynard has not been shy about the fact that she wants to have more children and to settle down. She already has one daughter, Ricki, from a previous relationship.

"I wanted to be married and have more children, but I doubted he was going to still want to be with me," she told Bachelor host Chris Harrison in an emotional July 2011 interview. "As a single mom, I don't have the luxury of saying 'we'll figure it out when we get there.' I need that reassurance that he'd want to be with me six weeks down the road much less six years."
