Jennifer Hudson shows off new figure at book signing

Jennifer Hudson has come a long way since her American Idol days. The singer and actress earned an Academy Award and a Grammy Award, and now she is a best selling-author.

OK! Magazine reported that the actress, who is now the spokesperson for Weight Watchers, was signing copies of her best-selling book, I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down, in Dallas, Texas, on January 19. The singer showed up in a black mini dress showing off her figure. She dazzled with diamond hoops and her engagement ring shining.

According to People Magazine, the actress recently reported that she still isn't used to dressing with her new svelte figure. However, she is enjoying every minute of it.

"I just love fashion now," she told Stylelist at the New York celebration for her recent Good Housekeeping cover. "It's so much more flexible, and there are so many more options out there now. I feel like my own little Barbie doll - I get to dress myself up."
