Jewelry trends on display at the SAG Awards
There always seem to be some similarities between the starlets who strut down the red carpet at different award shows. More often than not, these trends are taken right from the runway, and fashionistas can't wait to see what beautiful gowns and accessories these A-list stars wear. During the 19th Annual Screen Actors' Guild Awards, there were a number of trends, including some bold and bright jewelry choices. Here are a couple of the standout accessories on display during the SAG Awards this past Sunday.
Bold, colorful statement earrings
When a star is gearing up for an awards show, they essentially have access to a great deal of diamonds and jewels, but may skipped the standout diamonds and chose some bright, bold gemstone earrings instead. The gemstone jewelry gave that extra something to many starlets' gowns at the SAGs, such as Lea Michele.
According to People magazine, the "Glee" star donned a strapless hot pink gown, which she paired with purple and blue gemstone earrings by Jennifer Meyer, and it looked incredible together. The earrings almost took away from the star's new hairdo - as she now rocks dark brown hair that turns into blonde at the tips. Viola Davis is certainly not afraid of color, as this stunning actress wore a bright turquoise gown and paired it with coral Cathy Waterman earrings and the color combination absolutely made the look pop.
The best part about these styles is that ladies do not have to break the bank to get similar looks. Purchasing costume jewelry such as the 26.23 TCW Round Cubic Zirconia Silvertone Eternity Necklace for much less can be the perfect solution.
Strapless dresses with standout chokers
No matter what year it is, it is likely that there will be a fair share of strapless dresses on the red carpet. But this year, there was an accessory that many added to it. Dazzling choker necklaces were a very popular choice among some A-list starlets at the event, including Helen Hunt.
Hunt looked nothing short of fabulous when she stepped out for the awards. She donned a beaded Romana Keveza gown, which she matched with Neil Lane jewels, including a metallic diamond choker necklace. She paired the look with drop earrings and a few bangle bracelets, Us Weekly.
Jessica Chastain also pulled off this look quite well - in a strapless, bright red Alexander McQueen number with the dazzling Harry Winston splash diamond necklace, the media outlet reports.
