Jordin Sparks talks marriage with Jason Derulo

Jordin Sparks went a different route than many other A-list celebrities at the City of Hope Honors Halston's Ben Malka event this past Wednesday night. Instead of a statement look, Sparks opted for a slim-fitting black halter dress with a couple of gold bangles, according to People Magazine.

Sparks also dished about her relationship with R&B singer Jason Derulo, Us Weekly reports. The two have been together for about a year, but have already brought up the conversation of marriage. Even though Sparks is just 22 and Derulo is 23, they still feel as though they have been through enough to talk about it.

"It's not a conversation that we're scared about," Sparks told the news source. "Before, we both went through tragedies this year - he broke his neck and then [Sparkle co-star] Whitney [Houston] passed - so before it might have been a little too crazy."
