Kate Hudson dazzles in Tiffany jewels at NYC event

Kate Hudson certainly looked the part at the ultra-fancy Tiffany & Co Blue Book Ball at Rockefeller Center on Thursday night. The Hollywood starlet joined numerous other celebrities in welcoming the brand new jewelry collection, which was displayed inside a 31-foot-high Tiffany box, constructed just for the occasion, Metromix New York reports. Every A-list fashion icon complemented their formal ensembles with lavish jewels from the Tiffany line - for Hudson, a pair of dramatic pear-shaped diamond earrings and a sparkling bracelet looked perfect with her Tiffany blue floor-length gown.

Other stars who attended the event include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Biel, Michelle Williams and Sarah Jessica Parker, according to the news source. Each of the ladies reflected on their own favorite sparkling accessories, most of which hold sentimental value to them.

"I've got a beautiful engagement ring, but I would say my most meaningful piece of jewelry was a ring my grandma left me, it's actually Tiffany," Hudson told the news source. "I'm a big jewelry girl. It's something that I love."

The new line from the famous jewelry designer is featured in the upcoming film adaptation of "The Great Gatsby." Inspired by the 1920s, the pieces include an extravagant headpiece, which comes at a $200,000 sticker price, and pearl drop earrings, for $450.

If you're yearning for the rich look of Tiffany jewels but aren't ready to dive that deeply into your pockets, you can find more affordable styles that resemble the coveted collection. Vintage pieces like the Genuine Shell Cameo Sterling Silver Antique-Finish Ring can add another layer of drama to your ensemble, and can look great mixed with modern pieces as well. Pairing different styles together is one of the best ways to create an ensemble that's all your own, so go ahead and start mixing and matching.
