Kate Hudson turns heads in black gown and vintage jewels

Sometimes, less is more, and last night, Kate Hudson seemed to have taught that lesson to Liz Hurley at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's 2013 Hot Pink Party. While the color of the night might have been hot pink, Hudson chose to stand out among the bubble gum hues and wear an all-black long-sleeved gown with a front slit. Beside her, Hurley sparkled and glistened in a plunging, glittery pink dress and diamond drop earrings. While Hurley might have followed the theme of the evening, Hudson stole the show with her subtly sexy ensemble.

One of the best parts of Hudson's whole outfit was her choice of accessories. Playing off the tasteful and elegant style of her fitted gown, Hudson opted for vintage jewels - dramatic diamond-shaped tiered drop earrings by Erickson Beamon and a detailed gold cuff bracelet. She fit right in at the glamorous Waldorf Astoria Hotel, along with other elite guests, including model Alyssa Miller and fashion designers Tory Burch and Vera Wang, Marie Claire UK magazine reports.

The blonde starlet brought along her fiance, Matthew Bellamy, to the event, after recently telling publications that she will get married to him - they're just taking their time.

"We will get married," Hudson told Elle UK. "I do think it's important, but we have no plans. [Ryder] wants a party. For me it's not the legal part that is important, it's what it means to the family."

Hudson's been busy starring in a guest spot on the hit TV show musical, "Glee," as well as filming her latest thriller, "The Reluctant Fundamentalist," which will debut in select theaters April 26. Still, the star shines, and her look will certainly be coveted by stylish ladies nationwide.

If you're looking for vintage jewels similar to Hudson's but for a fraction of the price, try a style like the Emerald-Cut Blue And Green Lucite Glass Accent Goldtone Metal Antique-Finish Collar Necklace. The bright stones pop against the vintage-finished metal, adding drama to any outfit.
