Kate Mara wows in yellow gown
Kate Mara looked nothing short of vibrant when she arrived on the red carpet for the premiere of her latest role in the Netflix series "House of Cards" in London. According to People magazine, the stunning starlet certainly brought some sun to the gloomy London night, as she donned a bright yellow Dior dress with an asymmetrical hem. She matched the look with a purple Nancy Gonzalez clutch and a jeweled collared necklace.
Those who are unfamiliar with Mara may know her sister, Rooney, who starred in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and "The Social Network." According to The Guardian, both of these movies were directed by David Fincher, who also directed Mara's recent endeavor "House of Cards." In fact, Mara's younger sister helped her get the role since she had an in with the director.
"I fell in love with the character and asked Rooney to put in a word for me with Fincher," Mara told the news source. "A month later I got a call to come and audition."
Mara's career started off when she was just 16, when she was featured in Harrison Ford's film "Random Hearts." She has also starred in "Everwood," "Nip/Tuck" and "American Horror Story." Now that work has come a bit easier for her, she isn't as anxious about her next role.
"I'm more relaxed these days. I worry less about the next step and don't stress so much about projects," Mara told the publication.
