Mariah Carey glistens in sparkling frock at BET Awards

Mariah Carey was one of the many dazzling A-list celebrities at the BET Awards Sunday night. The singer donned a form-fitting nude dress with embroidered gems and a high slit. She paired the frock with big diamond earrings and a matching bracelet.

According to Us Weekly, Carey was the first on stage during the awards, as she started the Whitney Houston tribute. She spoke of the late iconic singer, who died five months ago at age 48.

"The first time I heard Whitney's voice I was mesmerized, like the rest of the world. Just an unknown budding singer myself, I was captivated by the power in her range, the richness of her tone and her unique ability to wrap a lyric in emotion," Carey told the audience. "I miss my friend. I miss hearing her voice and laughter, but we'll always have the music."
