Mariah Carey proves ladies can never have too much bling
Leave it to legendary diva Mariah Carey to make an arm sling look fabulous. The singer, known for her love of all things glitz and glam, recently donned a crystal-encrusted arm sling as well as a feathered option and a third style all in the same night.
According to the New York Post, Carey is wearing a sling after she dislocated her shoulder while filming a music video July 7. The superstar was rushed the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City to have her shoulder reset by a physician. She was sent home the same night. Though the exact reason for the dislocation hasn't been released, some are gossiping the diva tripped and fell while wearing her famous sky-high stilettos.
No matter the cause, the show must go on, and Carey fulfilled her obligation of singing at the MLB All-Star charity concert in NYC July 13 - with a bedazzled accessory. Us Weekly reports the diva showed up to the event in a slinky, form-fitting white gown that boasted a sweetheart neckline and tons of crystals down the body. She accentuated her matching white sling with bold silver, gold and clear crystals as well as a crystal-encrusted strap.
Carey donned this look along with gorgeous diamond earrings and a sparkling tennis bracelet. Carey first hit the stage for her performance in the same white dress but with the addition of a stunning white fur shoulder sling. She then changed into an all-black ensemble. The latter look still boasted plenty of flair - the frock was dripping in black crystals, and her sling was covered in black feathers. Carey also jazzed up her darker style with stunning drop earrings and bold bracelets.
While you might not find it necessary to bedazzle your sling, knee brace or crutches, you can take a fashion tip from Carey and add some bling to your ensemble. Rocking a gorgeous bracelet like the 6 TCW Princess-Cut Cubic Zirconia Silvertone Double-Row Tennis Bracelet 7 1/4" with your favorite LBD might help you channel your inner diva.
