New York Giants Greg Jones pops the question after winning the Super Bowl

New York Giants player Greg Jones was celebrating more than just his team's Super Bowl victory this past weekend, he was also thrilled that his girlfriend said yes when he popped the question, according to The Daily Mail.

The linebacker got down on one knee amid confetti, cheers, celebration, players and fans to propose to his girlfriend Amanda Piechowski. She immediately started crying when she saw the ring.

The two met a college when they attended Michigan State University, where he played football and she played basketball. Piechowski is now a model.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Jones teammate tight end Christian Hopkins was the one to hold the engagement ring until after the game. 

"It's beautiful," Piechowski told the news source of her ring. "And he did it all by himself. I didn't pick anything out with him. I was completely surprised. It was more than I could have imagined."

If the Patriots won the game, Jones would have waited until they were on vacation to propose.
