Sheryl Crow bends style rules with a Zac Posen jumpsuit

Sheryl Crow might be 51 years old, but she looked half her age at the recent Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. The seasoned country-rock star wore two bold looks for the annual ceremony - a gold Versace minidress for her red carpet performance and a navy Zac Posen jumpsuit with a corset top and a gold-plated collar necklace. 

While her first Versace ensemble got more kudos from fashion critics, her fit physique even pulled off the daring, wide-legged pants ensemble she wore into the awards show. Perhaps the vibrant necklace choice helped boost her style credentials, as it was the perfect enhancement to the strapless corset she wore on top. 

The star got ready for the event with friends and fellow awards attendees Ashley Monroe, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena Presley, according to People. To make their red carpet attire stand out even more, the four girls got matching spray tans, which they received in the buff at their hotel room.

"The first night we got to Vegas, me and Sheryl Crow and Miranda and Angaleena went to Miranda and Blake [Shelton]'s room and had a spray-tan party, so all of us were naked," Monroe told the news source on the red carpet. "We made Blake go upstairs and close his eyes."
