Starlets bring hoops back to the red carpet

While some jewelry trends come and go, hoop earrings are definitely here to stay. At the recent Fashion Rules Exhibit at London's Kensington Palace, British actress Minnie Driver donned a stunning Missoni sequin organza floor length gown. The launch party was for an exhibition of a collection of dresses worn by Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales. While on the runway, the dress was lined with a white slip underneath, Driver went without the underlay for a more sheer look. There was nothing traditional about her hoops, which were oversized and featured a chain detail. Her side parted pony and smokey eyes made the ensemble even more striking and unusual.
