The Grammy's best dressed of the night

Many tune into the various awards shows to seek out the latest trends, beautiful gowns and gorgeous fashion jewelry that stars show off on the red carpet. The Grammy Awards are no different, however music's biggest night tends to be a bit over-the-top in comparison to the other awards.

There were tons of show-stopping looks, starting off with Rihanna's black Armani dress that was low-cut, open-backed and was complete with a thigh-high slit, which truly brought the wow factor. She paired the hot dress with a gold cuff right below her elbow and matching earrings, CBS reports.

Carrie Underwood showed up in a long-sleeved sequined white dress created by Gomez-Garcia. She paired it with chandelier earrings and a great updo. Destiny Child's Kelly Rowland wowed in a blush-colored Alberta Ferreti gown with an embellished bodice and matching earrings and ring, E! Online reports.

Those who may have gone a little too far was rapper Nicki Minaj in a scarlet Versace costume-like gown with a hooded cape and black beaded skirt. Not to mention her date was a man dressed up like the Pope.
