Top five dresses this year, and the jewels that went with them

When it comes to high fashion, these five ladies know exactly what is in and what is not. According to US Weekly, the top five dresses of 2011 made everyone turn their heads.

The first gown was worn by none of other than the Duchess of Cambridge, who has received fantastic reviews on all she has donned since her wedding to Prince William in April. The top dress was the pink sequined gown with embedded Swarvoski crystals and designed by Jenny Packman that Kate Middleton wore to the ARK 10th anniversary gala in June. This sparkly and beautiful dress didn't need more accessorizing, just her gorgeous engagement ring.

The second look belonged to Emma Watson for what she wore to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2 premiere in July. The Oscar de la Renta gown was certainly a show-stopper, which she paired with subtle fashion jewelry.

The last three went to Diane Kruger, Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce, who all paired their stunning gowns with dangling sparkly earrings.
